The mats are carefully hand-felted from 100% raw sheep wool with soap and water. The felt is hand rolled into balls, dried in the sun and then hand-stitched.

Wool is a natural insulator, with high breathability, and it resists odours due to its natural antibacterial properties. Wool is one of the most sustainable fabrics in existence; renewable and biodegradable, it requires relatively little water for its production.
